PACC's Surveys and Calls

In order to better meet the needs and demands of FIAF’s affiliates when it comes to access matters (screening fees, copyright clearance, relations with other FIAF affiliates, etc.), the Programming and Access to Collections Commission (PACC) has issued a number of surveys and calls aimed at pooling relevant data, information and documents. These surveys and calls will remain open until such a time as a sufficiently large and representative data pool has been gathered.

Affiliates are strongly encouraged to actively contribute to these calls and surveys if they have not already done so.

If you are interested in contributing but have questions or would like to know more, please don’t hesitate to contact the commission by writing to pacc@fiafnet.org.

Access Documents

To aid archivists and programmers in their day-to-day work, PACC is collecting document templates already in use by FIAF affiliates for access-related activities with a long-term aim of making them available for reference. Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Facility assessment forms (for print loans)
  • Print condition report forms
  • Letters of indemnity (for access)
  • Archival Loans terms and conditions
  • Archival Loans agreement forms
  • Restoration agreement forms

At present, PACC is focussing only on collecting documents that are available in one or more of the three official languages of FIAF (English/French/Spanish).

Affiliates are highly encouraged to contribute to this endeavour by submitting documents (as file attachments or links) via e-mail to pacc@fiafnet.org.

Collection Policies

The topic of Collection Policies has been a core interest of PACC for the better part of the last three decades. A number of collection policies published by FIAF affiliates are collected in a dedicated section of PACC’s e-resources on the FIAF website.

Affiliates are actively encouraged to contribute to the expansion of the existing list by submitting their collection policies via e-mail to pacc@fiafnet.org. Collection policies in all languages are accepted.
