Anyone interested in automatising workflows with ffmpeg within a film archive. A course for advanced users of ffmpeg is planned in 2023.Content: Practical examples will include converting, concatenating and integrating logos, watermarks and time codes. Prerequisite is the installation of ffmpeg and working in the command line.

No fee will be charged, but places will be limited, for reasons of participant comfort and interactivity between participants and speakers. Should there be more applicants and places available, a selection will have to be made by the organizers on the basis of the information contained in the form, so please fill it in as rigorously as possible. Note that submitting this completed form does not guarantee your participation in these workshops.
The deadline for submitting the online form is 31 October. Selected candidates will be notified by email by 7 November. They may have to submit some homework before the Workshop.

FIAF has created a Gender Observatory, the aims of which will be the collection, systematization, analysis, and dissemination of data and information related to gender issues that permeate and affect film heritage institutions around the world.
FIAF is invitating applications for the position of FIAF Training and Outreach Coordinator (12-month freelance contract). The closing date for applications is 31 January.
The website of the 2025 FIAF Congress in Montreal is now available and registrations are open.
Registrations for the PACC Thursday Workshop/Discussion on “Restoring the Past, Funding the Future: copyright, restorations and approaches to recouping/protecting archival investments” on 16 January 2025 are open until 9 December.
